This could be due to a few factors.

- Surface material - The laminated surface properties of the JET is different from cloth pads thus may give off a distinct audio feedback when gliding your mouse across the surface.

- Debris - Debris that has settled on the surface of the mousepad which can be wiped away with the included microfiber cloth.

- Mouse skates/feet - Ensure that your mouse skates are properly aligned with the grooves they are meant to sit inside. Skates which have worn down over time could lead to the base plastic eventually making contact with the mousepad surface.  Skates with sharp edges will dig into the mousepad causing scratchy feedback. Make sure to remove any protective film placed on your mouse skates.
